Aveda Shine – Brighton

Putting customers first

As Brighton natives we love working with local shops and adding to the vibrant mix of styles and influences that our city is famous for. Brighton depends on its independent and creative retailers because visitors expect to find something different to your typical high street.

Jonathan Harries, one of Brighton’s most experienced hair dressers, asked us to help him create his new Aveda salon in the North Laines district. We were delighted to get involved and began looking for ways to combine Aveda’s natural and environmental philosophy with Shine’s Brighton style.

Brighton’s style is all about upcycling – reclaiming, reusing and recycling old products to give them a new lease of life. Taking found materials and creating a contemporary space supported Aveda’s ethical values and sits well with the creative crowd that frequent this side of Brighton. A central table loaded with magazines and fresh fruit helps reinforce the sense of an informal experience, where the vibe is relaxed and the relationship built with the client at the heart and soul of the business.
